Why bother with a website
Every thought I have has a venue now. A short one goes to a group chat, a longer one to a document nobody opens, an argumentative one to a comment box where it will be read by strangers who are already annoyed. None of those places are mine. They rearrange themselves around whatever is loudest that week, and what I wrote last year is gone in a way I can’t do anything about.
So: a website. Slow, small, and mine. There is no algorithm to feed, which means there is no reason to post unless I’ve actually got something. That constraint is the whole point.
I don’t know yet what shape the writing takes. Probably not tutorials. Probably not opinions about frameworks. Mostly the things I find myself explaining twice.
